Terms of Service
Last updated: June 7, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SnapShelfwebsite and macOS application (the “Service”). By purchasing, downloading, or using SnapShelf, you agree to these Terms.
License
Subject to these Terms and your payment of the one-time fee, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use SnapShelf on Macs you own or control. Your license is a lifetime license for the version line you purchased, including 2 years of free updates from the date of purchase for updates we make generally available.
What you may not do
- Resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the Service or your license key.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits.
- Use the Service to violate any law or infringe the rights of others.
- Circumvent license verification or share your account credentials to grant unauthorized access.
Accounts
To activate your license you create an account through our authentication provider. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it. Authentication and account records are handled via Supabase.
Payments
Purchases are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout and are one-time charges unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any applicable taxes. By completing checkout you authorize the charge for the displayed amount.
Refunds
We offer a money-back guarantee as described in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Your content
SnapShelf is local-first: the screenshots and recordings you create stay on your device and are not transmitted to us. You retain all rights to your content and are solely responsible for it.
Updates and changes
We may update the Service from time to time to add features, fix bugs, or maintain compatibility with macOS. We may also modify these Terms; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnapShelf and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for it.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms. On termination, the license granted to you ends, though provisions that by their nature should survive will continue to apply.
